Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Giants are willing to offer Brian Wilson (elbow) a major league contract. The Mets have "strong interest" in Wilson and even watched him in a private workout on Saturday, but one source speculated to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York on Sunday that the club would prefer to sign him to a minor league contract. It's highly unlikely he'll be willing to agree to that, so the money is undoubtedly a factor, but he may also prefer to go somewhere which presents the best opportunity to close. That may not be San Francisco.
