Hendricks was cleared to resume throwing on the side Tuesday, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Hendricks was re-examined Monday, and apparently everything checked out as he is now expected to resume throwing, putting him one step closer to rejoining the big-league rotation. Barring any setbacks, Hendricks said he could be back for this weekend's series against the Pirates.
