Hellickson improved to 5-4 with a win over the Padres on Sunday. He allowed only two runs on six hits over six innings with no walks and a season-high seven strikeouts. The right-hander was in control all afternoon, needing just 84 pitches to get through the six frames. Hellickson has pitched into the sixth inning in six of his last seven starts and has earned wins in four of his last six outings, while working his ERA and WHIP down to 4.94 and 1.41, respectively. He'll face the Padres again, this time at Pecto Park, in his next start.
