Hellickson allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits, walking one and striking out three over three innings of a 9-1 loss to Washington on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson (1-1, 4.30 ERA) was part of a surprising Phillies rotation that got the team off to a solid start this season, but the wheels came off in this one. Michael Taylor lead off the game with a home run, and Jayson Werth contributed a bases-loaded double in a five-run first inning that pretty much set the tone. He'll get the Mets at home in his next start.
