Hellickson (5-5) struck out eight over 5.1 innings Saturday in San Diego, but gave up seven runs on 10 hits and a walk to take the loss. After leaving his last start with a back issue, Hellickson missed no time and seemed to not be limited Saturday, but despite the surprising strikeout total, he was as ineffective as ever. The out-of-nowhere 21:2 K:BB that Hellickson has managed over his last three starts offers some promise, but he's awfully tough to trust. His next start will be at home against the Rockies on Thursday.
