Heisey has joined the Dodgers in San Francisco and expects to be officially recalled Wednesday, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports. This is a bit puzzling, as both Yasiel Puig (hamstring) and Carl Crawford (illness) are set to return to the lineup Tuesday. Perhaps the team just wants some security outfield depth in the short term. Heisey hit four home runs in his first 10 games (40 PA) with Triple-A Oklahoma City.
