Heaney gave up two runs on eight hits with zero walks and five strikeouts in 7.1 innings Tuesday against the Rockies to improve to 2-0 on the season. Heaney was very efficient, as he was pulled after throwing 94 pitches (65 strikes) midway through the eighth inning. The talented southpaw has now given up four runs on 14 hits and three walks through 20.1 innings since joining the Angels rotation, and it's hard to see him relinquishing his spot anytime soon. Heaney is on schedule to make the last start of the first half Sunday in Seattle.
