Headley is out of the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
With a .205/.271/.386 slash line over his past 11 games, Headley is starting to fizzle after a hot start to the season. In recognition of the slump, manager Joe Girardi dropped Headley to the sixth spot in the order Sunday, but it largely failed to ignite the veteran, who went 1-for-5 with a walk and three strikeouts. Headley will now get a day off to mentally unwind, allowing Ronald Torreyes to pick up a start at the hot corner.
