Harvey was sharp Friday night, allowing two hits, walking one, and striking out eight over six shutout innings, but was left with a no-decision against the Red Sox.

Harvey (11-7, 2.48 ERA) has been spectacular in August, allowing just one run in five starts covering 27 innings. However, he was making his first start in 12 days as the Mets try to keep his innings in check. Harvey is in his first season back from Tommy John surgery so they will likely conserve his arm as much as possible in September while obviously continuing to focus on the post season.
