Dr. James Andrews has told GM Dave Dombrowski that Hanrahan will be ready to go come in the spring, but Dombrowski admitted that the decision to re-sign Hanrahan is still "a gamble." The Tigers didn't see any return on their $1 million investment in Hanrahan last season, as he was shut down after suffering a setback in his recovery from Tommy John surgery toward the middle of the year.
