Haniger got the Mariners to within a run with his 365-foot shot to left in the third, his second round tripper in the last three games. The slugging outfielder has gotten back to the caliber of effort he provided early in the season, as he's slashing .489/.489/.889 with a .573 wOBA and .273 wRC+ over the 45 plate appearances he's seen since Aug. 30. The torrid stretch, which includes seven multi-hit efforts, has allowed Haniger to raise his season average 38 points to .278.
