Hand lasted just 3.1 innings in a loss Sunday, yielding three runs on five hits and four walks.
EDGE Analysis
Hand struck out just one batter while turning in his third consecutive poor start. He has allowed four home runs and 15 earned runs in his last 9.2 innings pitched while watching his ERA to spike to 5.32 on the year. Though he's shown the ability to get hot in the past, Hand is proving that he's more suited to be a bullpen arm. He's currently scheduled to take the mound again Saturday in Washington, but it would not be a surprise if the Marlins made efforts to take a look at some of there younger arms over the final weeks of the season.
