Hand (4-5) had a disastrous start Saturday, giving up seven earned runs on six hits while walking two and striking two over 1.2 innings in a 7-0 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Hand was susceptible to the long ball, giving up three home runs during his brief outing. It's been a disappointing season for the 25-year-old southpaw, whose ERA ballooned to 5.20 following Saturday's performance. Hand is hardly a lock to retain his rotation spot through the season, as the Marlins recently recalled Jarred Cosart and hope to activate ace right-hander Jose Fernandez in mid-September.
