Hamilton has an early hitting session scheduled with hitting coaches Don Baylor and Dave Hanson on Tuesday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports. "I'm all right," Hamilton said, "but I don't make the lineup...I'm gonna do some early work tomorrow, see how it goes. If I hit enough out, I'll play." After his request for a day off Sunday was granted, Hamilton was afforded another Monday as a means of helping him emerge from a sustained slump. In his past 10 contests, he's supplied a mere five hits, no RBI, two runs, and two walks versus 18 strikeouts in 38 at-bats. Moreover, he's posted the lowest ISO (.147) of his eight-year career. In his place, Collin Cowgill and Brennan Boesch have both been handed starts in left field.
