Hamilton (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, Rangers VP of Comm. John Blake reports. Hamilton is expected to miss four weeks, making a stint on the disabled list inevitable. His absence will leave Delino DeSheields as the regular starter in left field, with Jake Smolinski and Leonys Martin also potentially benefiting from extra at-bats.
