Guyer is out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees, MLB.com's Bill Chastain reports. It's the third time he's been on the bench in the Rays' last five games.
EDGE Analysis
Guyer was squeezed out of the lineup for a game this past week in Los Angeles when no DH was available in the National League park, and he'll now sit out out for the second time in the three-game series with the Yankees. The non-contending Rays are expected to deal away one of their bats -- Steve Pearce being the most likely candidate -- prior to Monday's non-waiver trade deadline, so perhaps that could open up some more frequent at-bats for Guyer.
