Grossman will start in left field and bat eighth Friday against the Rangers. With Colby Rasmus getting the day off against a tough left-hander, Grossman will get an opportunity kickstart his season after going hitless with a walk and three strikeouts over three at-bats in his first two appearances with the Astros.
