Grossman will open the season at Triple-A Columbus, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The young outfielder was recently informed that he would not be on the Indians' Opening Day roster, but he decided to not exercise his opt-out clause and will remain within the Tribe's organization. He'll provide organizational depth in the outfield that is sorely needed in Cleveland given the injuries to Michael Brantley and Lonnie Chisenhall. If the Indians' expected outfielders get off to a bad start this spring, Grossman could be an option for a call-up. That said, his performance at the big league level (.240/.327/.341) makes him a relatively weak fantasy option.
