Gregerson entered camp competing with Chad Qualls and Pat Neshek for the closer role, and a strong spring performance (1.59 ERA and four strikeouts in six appearances) appears to have been enough to convince manager A.J. Hinch. The move definitely improves Gregerson's fantasy value as he figures to receive regular save opportunities for the first time in his career.
