Greg Maddux and Frank Thomas headline the first-time eligible players for the 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. The BBWAA announced the full list of players on Tuesday afternoon. There are 19 new candidates in all, including notables Tom Glavine, Mike Mussina, and Jeff Kent. Craig Biggio, Mike Piazza, Curt Schilling, Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Alan Trammell, Jeff Bagwell, Sammy Sosa, Edgar Martinez, Tim Raines and Jack Morris are among the players who remain eligible for election in 2014, so it's an absolutely loaded ballot. Results will be announced in January, with Maddux the closest there is to a sure thing.
