Gordon agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Marlins on Friday, avoiding arbitration, Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports. Gordon will make five times as much as he made in 2014 in his first year of arbitration, and the 26-year-old will receive additional $25,000 if he earns another All-Star selection in his first year with Miami. Written off by some following a disappointing start to his career, Gordon hit .289/.326/.378 with 64 steals in 83 attempts last season, though he was relatively lucky with a .346 BABIP (.326 for career).
