Gonzalez yielded just two runs on four hits in 6.1 innings against the Yankees on Wednesday, but received no decision. He struck out five and walked three. He'd only allowed two hits through six innings, but a Chris Young single and a Brendan Ryan triple chased Gio from the game. Control continues to be an issue for Gonzalez, but his peripheral stats are strong otherwise. He's getting significantly more groundballs and limiting home runs, but has been hurt by a .359 BABIP that's nearly 70 points higher than his career average. That helps explain why his FIP and xFIP are in line with last year's numbers, while his ERA is almost a full run higher. Gonzalez's next scheduled start comes Monday at Tampa Bay.
