Gonzalez started at shortstop Saturday after Carlos Correa was scratched due to illness.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez will be the Swiss Army knife of the Astros' lineup, having played all off the positions in the infield and outfield during his career. Indeed, position versatility is his greatest fantasy asset. Whatever offense the 28-year-old provides is tempered by poor on-base ability and a high-strikeout rate. While he had 13 homers and 12 stolen bases in 2016, Houston's offseason acquisitions mean Gonzalez will be hard pressed to repeat the 141 games played and 518 plate appearances this season. In 18 spring games, he's hitting .196 (10-for-51) and has a .490 OPS.
