Gonzalez lasted just 4.2 innings Sunday night against the Braves, allowing two earned runs, six hits and four walks while piling up eight strikeouts en route to his ninth loss of the season. After turning in eight shutout innings versus the Cubs back on July 5th, things have taken a downhill turn for Gonzalez over his past six starts. The 28-year-old lefty's struggles during this stretch can mostly be attributed to a lack of command, as his 15 free passes across 31.1 innings have led to a 5.17 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. Gonzalez will attempt to get back on track next weekend against the Pirates.
