Gonzalez (knee) may not be ready for the start of spring training, the Denver Post reports. Head athletic trainer Keith Dugger provided some details regarding Gonzalez's recent surgery Tuesday, saying doctors not only cut out a torn part of his patella tendon but also removed a bursa sac and cleaned up a fat pad. With Gonzalez now facing a 5-to-6 month recovery window, Dugger admitted that the 28-year-old may be delayed a bit come spring training, but he said "our goal is to get him there and get him ready." Gonzalez will be confined to a walking brace for the next three weeks.
