Gonzalez is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks. After a 1-for-3 showing in the matinee, Gonzalez will head to the bench for Game 2 with lefty Robbie Ray due up for Arizona. Charlie Blackmon will move over to right field as Drew Stubbs steps in to man center. Gonzalez is 2-for-12 against southpaws so far this season and will likely continue to be heavily shielded from left-handed pitching.
