Gonzalez (hand) entered Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks as a late-inning defensive replacement. Though he hasn't made a pinch-hitting appearance yet since suffering the hand injury, Gonzalez has appeared in each of the Rockies' last two games, which would seem to signal that the team doesn't think he'll land on the disabled list. It's unclear if Gonzalez will be ready to hit during Friday's game against the Giants, but it seems quite likely that he'll be able to return to the lineup at some point during the series.
