Pirates starter Jeff Locke pitched well, preventing Gonzalez from exiting with an opportunity to pick up his seventh win of the season Saturday. With a home start against an Arizona lineup sans Paul Goldschmidt next time out, the inconsistent left-hander should have a prime opportunity to rack up strikeouts Thursday.
