Gonzalez (ankle) is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers, Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.

The Rockies haven't suggested that Gonzalez's sore left ankle is a major concern, but there won't be a need to rush him back to action after the team received a boost in the outfield Monday with Ian Desmond's (calf) return from the disabled list. When all three are at full strength, it looks like one of Desmond, Gerardo Parra and Gonzalez will be forced to hit the bench for any given contest, as All-Star Charlie Blackmon is probably the only Rockies outfielder that's guaranteed an everyday role.
