Gonzalez was out of the lineup for the past two games with a sore left ankle, but was able to come in as a pinch hitter during Tuesday's game, and is healthy enough to earn a spot in the starting nine for Wednesday's series finale. With a scheduled off day coming Thursday, the 31-year-old will get an another day to rest up prior to a big series against Arizona. Since July 18, Gonzalez is hitting .294/.338/.420 with two home runs and 19 RBI in 34 games.
