With that said, the veteran grinded through the 103-pitch battle, inducing an impressive 16 swinging strikes, to win back-to-back starts for just the second time all year. Gonzalez will go for a season-high three straight victories in his next start Monday at hitter-friendly Coors Field in Colorado.
