Gonzalez (6-1) allowed two runs on five hits while striking out five batters through seven innings during Thursday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty has now allowed two runs or fewer in 11 of his 14 starts for a 2.89 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 8.1 K/9. His upside to collect wins also remains high pitching for a contending team that's among the highest-scoring clubs in the majors. It is worth noting that Gonzalez's 4.29 FIP suggests there could be upcoming statistical decline to his ratios, but he should be able to maintain a serviceable fantasy floor. Gonzalez projects to make a road start against the Marlins next.
