Gonzalez (4-3) took the loss despite giving up just two runs over six innings Thursday against the Cubs. He struck out six, walked four and allowed four hits. Gio's had trouble finding consistency this year, but control has generally not eluded him quite so much as it did Thursday -- just his third time walking more than two batters in a start, and his first in eight outings. He's had a lot of start-to-start inconsistency thanks to a sky-high .372 BABIP, which should correct course in due time. With a still-unattractive 4.57 ERA for the season, he's a buy-low target.
