Gonzalez (1-1) got the win Wednesday despite allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits over six innings against the Red Sox. He struck out six and walked a pair. The Nats staked him to a big lead, but Gio gave the runs back steadily during his time in the game. He's off to a bit of a rocky start, having given up eight runs (seven earned) through 12.1 innings, but Gonzalez is a great bet to stabilize his stats. He should still be an above-average fantasy arm thanks to his ability to rack up strikeouts and reliable ERA contributions.
