Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks and three RBI in Sunday's 11-0 triumph over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
After going 0-for-11 during a three-game stretch from Aug. 19 to Aug. 21 -- his longest drought at the plate all season -- Goldschmidt has unsurprisingly returned to vintage form. Over the Snakes' last six contests, the first baseman has reached base at a .480 clip while providing four extra-base hits, eight RBI and a stolen base. With the second 30-homer, 20-steal season of his career in sight to go with a personal-best .427 on-base percentage, Goldschmidt should have a more compelling argument than ever for his first National League MVP award.
