Goldschmidt hit his first homerun of the year Friday as part of a 3-for-4 performance in a 4-3 win over the Dodgers. He scored once and drove in three runs in the contest. Goldschmidt is off to a great start, reaching base in more than half of his plate appearances to date. The homerun should answer the only lingering question about his hand injury from last year, which was whether the power would be back. He should return to being an MVP-caliber player this year.
