Carrasco allowed two runs on three hits with five strikeouts in seven innings against the Giants on Thursday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco turned in the longest of his six starts this season, limiting San Francisco to a two-run Kris Bryant homer in the first inning. Carrasco stymied the Giants the rest of the way in what was easily his most effective start since coming off the IL in late-July. Thursday's outing lowered Carrasco's ERA from 8.82 to 6.94, although the 34-year-old is still searching for his first win as a Met.
