The Guardians placed Cobb on the 15-day injured list Monday with a fractured nail on his right hand.

Cobb last pitched Aug. 14 and it's not clear whether he suffered the injury that day or since then. He had been tentatively slated to start Tuesday against the Yankees. Joey Cantillo could be a logical option to come up and pitch Tuesday or Wednesday, having last pitched at Triple-A last Thursday. Cobb has allowed six runs (five earned) over 10.1 innings in his first two starts with the Guardians.
