Gonsolin gave up one run on five hits and no walks while striking out two through four innings in a no-decision against the Braves on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
While rejoining the big club for the first time in nearly two weeks, Gonsolin was expected to have his pitch count limited, so it came as no surprise that he was removed after only 72 pitches and a solid four-inning showing. The 25-year-old has a 3.00 ERA and a 15:1 K:BB through 18 innings this season. The Dodgers' plans for Gonsolin for the rest of the season remain undetermined, but manager Dave Roberts said the rookie will get at least one more turn after Sunday, per Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Gonsolin lines up to make his next start Aug. 24 at home versus the Yankees.
