Smoak went 2-for-5 with a solo home run during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old struggled (0-for-3 with two strikeouts) like most of the Brewers' lineup in the season opener against Kyle Hendricks, but he collected two hits Saturday, including a towering homer to right field during the fifth inning. Smoak is poised to see significant time at first base for the Brewers this season, and he's hit out of the cleanup spot in the first two games.
