GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said Utley will not lose playing time next season as part of the Phillies' rebuilding process, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The Phillies do not have a prospect at second base that is ready for playing time in the majors, so keeping Utley in the lineup won't impact the playing time of younger guys. Utley has 10 and 5 rights which allows him to block any trade. Thus far, he has expressed no interest in going to another team.
