EDGE Analysis
He fell one strikeout short of tying a career best, and his 11 strikeouts were three more than his previous season high of eight back on April 19. Giolito is starting to get on a roll at Triple-A, boasting a 2.57 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB over 28 innings in his last five starts. Prior to Monday's start, he had not been missing enough bats to inspire confidence that he could hold his own against major-league hitters, but if he continues to have success, he should get his chance in the big-league rotation sooner than later.
