Gio Gonzalez yielded just three hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven shutout innings in Sunday's 13-2 victory over the Mets. Gonzalez gave up a walk and a single to start the seventh, but he was able to escape the inning unscathed when he got Omar Quintanilla to hit into a fielder's choice on his 119th pitch. The left-hander got off to a slow start this season but has been brilliant since the beginning of May, posting a 2.10 ERA. He'll take on the Padres at home next.
