It was a lifeless showing from the Cubs, who unloaded 40 percent of their starting rotation to the A's on Friday night. Gonzalez allowed only four hits and a walk while striking out seven. He's now working on a 22-inning scoreless streak, appearing well-poised for a strong second half of the 2014 season. A date with the Orioles is next.
