Gio Gonzalez limited the Reds to one run over seven innings but took the loss on Saturday. It was a refreshing start from Gonzalez, who failed to make it out of the fourth inning last Sunday versus the Brewers, but he was out-dueled by Cincinnati ace Johnny Cueto. Gonzalez struck out eight Reds hitters and allowed only four hits. He'll carry a 6-6 record, 3.56 ERA, and 1.22 WHIP into his next start at home against the Phillies.
