Gio Gonzalez allowed two runs over six innings Thursday in a win over the Rays. Gonzalez scattered seven hits while striking out four and walking a pair. He held the Rays to just one run before giving up a game-tying single to Sean Rodriguez in the bottom of the sixth. However, the Nats answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to put Gonzalez in line for his ninth win. The 26-year-old southpaw now holds a 2.55 ERA through 14 starts this season and hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start since his season debut. He'll try to keep the streak going next week against the Rockies.
