Gillespie went 1-for-2 with a single against the Nationals on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old hit .290/.333/.428 in 67 games with the Marlins in 2015 after being called up from the minors due to Giancarlo Stanton's hand injury. Gillespie is 9-for-18 with two RBI at the plate this spring and will look to be a fill-in outfielder for Miami during the 2016 season.
