Gibson (shoulder) will be activated from the DL and start Thursday against the Rays, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.

Gibson will take the rotation spot of Phil Hughes, who will be moved to the bullpen according to manager Paul Molitor. Gibson had limited success earlier in the season (6.10 ERA), but has emerged from two rehab starts relatively unscathed, and could be in line for improvement now that he's healthy.
