Gibson gave up two runs on six hits and one walk with seven strikeouts Tuesday against the Orioles. The seven strikeouts were one shy of his season high, and he has now allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last four starts. One of the best things about Gibson's season is that he has gone at least five innings in 16-straight outings, and he has pitched six-plus innings in 12 of those. His FIP (4.18) is naturally much higher than his 3.04 ERA entering play Tuesday, and this is due to a well below-average 15.5 percent K-rate and a fortunate .267 BABIP. Gibson should still be useful in mid-sized leagues over the rest of the season, but now is the time to try to sell high.
