Gibson gave up five runs -- four earned -- on five hits and two walks while striking out six in six innings against the Royals on Wednesday. Gibson had a 2.03 ERA in the five previous starts of his career against the Royals, but was blasted for four runs in the first. His season ERA went up to 3.24 after having gone as low as 2.61 two starts ago. Gibson will look to bounce back in his next scheduled start Tuesday at St. Louis.
